Finch Bay Eco Hotel (Galapagos

Galapagos Islands TripAdvisor

This beach is the perfect setting for a unique experience. It is about a 30 minute walk from the entrance (at which every visitor has to register check in time) to reach the white sandy beach. The walkway is paved and it crosses a beautiful forest where you can see many different types of birds, including finches. Arriving to the beach after the long walk makes every step worth it. The beach side by the entrance of the trail (the main beach) has very strong waves and is perfect for surfing but to be able to swim, visitors have to walk further west to the beach where the waves are much more calm. However, what makes this beach one of the most beautiful ones in Galapagos is the white sand, the trees, the mangroves and the sea creatures wondering around the beach. Some of the creatures found in this beach may be sea turtles (Tortuga in Spanish), pelicans, marine iguanas, flamingos and sometimes sea lions. If visitors don't want to walk the 30 minute trail, they can take a tour from the port and a boat will bring them directly to the shore.
